The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has held a meeting with corporate representatives to discuss ways to boost exports and to nurture the consumer goods industry.
Monday’s meeting was a follow-up to last week’s export promotion meeting presided over by Trade Minister Yoon Sang-jick.
Attendees agreed that as the consumer goods industry is spread over a wide area, each category needs tailored measures.
The Korea International Trade Association and other representatives also agreed to create an ecosystem where consumer goods makers may easily collaborate with other sectors such as the design and molding industries, thereby being able to raise the quality of their products.
