JAKARTA – The Ministry of Commerce  stated, Indonesian coffee commodity export opportunities to South Korea (ROK) is quite large. Pursuing that potential, Kemedag will hold the exhibition in South Korea.

Director General of Export Development Arlinda said, coffee in South Korea has become a trend that can be used to penetrate the market “The coffee is great (opportunity) to get there, South Korea”. A lot of coffees will be showed in The Exhibition next month. ” We should be able to take advantage of their market entry,” She said in Jakarta, Tuesday (04/04/2017).

Furthermore, She explained, market segments which could be penetrated is young people of the coffee fan. The Seminars which will be held also aims to find out their tastes. “The Trend of Young people there are coffee and tea. Seminar of food and beverage in order to know their taste,” She said.

According to Arlinda, mainstay coffee of Indonesia is Arabica. Exporters are encouraged in order to increase the number of export. “Specialty in Arabica coffee, we actually have 32 kinds of coffee. We are working with coffee exporters to increase their exports,” She concluded.

While previously the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) organize activities to increase coffee business creativity and capital, in order to increase the potential of the creative economy in sub culinary sector. At the forum, Bekraf encourage all creative effort, for from the culinary sector, applications, e-commerce to help Indonesian coffee market. Including breakthroughs in funding from banks to start or increase the coffee business.
