The tenth round of working-level talks on a trilateral free trade agreement among South Korea, China and Japan will open in Seoul from Tuesday.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Monday that key concerns of the trade pact, such as negotiation guidelines on modality and ways to liberalize the services market, will be discussed in the three-day talks.
Experts will also hold talks on 20 topics such as the country of origin, customs clearance and sanitary and phytosanitary measures(SPS).
Since declaring the launch of FTA talks in November 2012, South Korea, China and Japan laid out a free trade principle of seeking a “comprehensive, high-level and mutually beneficial” deal. Nine rounds of negotiations have taken place so far.
