Indonesia Government intention to build infrastructure is not kidding. To finalize the program, the Minister of National Development Planning Agency / Head of Bappenas seeks to attract South Korean investors.
Thus the core of the activities of Indonesia Infrastructure Investment Forum (IIIF) held in Seoul, (20/09/2017) local time. Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas) / Bappenas), Bambang Brodjonegoro said Indonesia is not abating step in improving national infrastructure development.
“Infrastructure is a development priority because it is an important part of Nawacita Indonesia program wants to attract South Korean investment through public and private partnership (PPP),” he said at the event.
South Korea’s involvement in RI infrastructure development, he said, is not new. Given that the country once contributed to the development of infrastructure in the country.

To succeed the partnership, Bappenas cooperates with KEXIM as a funding bank for South Korean investment projects abroad. Bappenas together with KEXIM offers more than 50 projects in the areas of energy, toll roads, airports and ports. In this IIIF Bappenas invites Indonesian counterparts to meet directly with the South Korean business community.
On that occasion, Ambassador Umar Hadi briefly explained the logic of Indonesia’s economic growth target which must be supported by adequate infrastructure. The Vice President of KEXIM warrants that it will support financing for infrastructure projects in Indonesia.
Besides attending the IIIF business forum, the Vice Minister meets with various CEOs of major South Korean companies interested in participating in projects in energy, rail, oil and toll roads.
