South Korea’s exports for July first to 20th rose 22-point-four percent compared to the same period last year.
The performance was buoyed by a robust shipment of ships and semiconductors which posted increases of nearly 246 percent and 48 percent, respectively.
According to the Korea Customs Service, the total amount of exports reached 30 billion dollars in the 20-day period.
By region, exports to the U.S. and China rose five-point-four percent and three-point-two percent each.
Imports stood at nearly 26 billion dollars, up 13-point-three percent on-year.
If the trend continues, South Korea’s exports are set to post a ninth consecutive month of growth in July.
