Jakarta – CEO of Go-Jek, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, tonight awarded the ASEAN Entrepreneur Award from the World Knowledge Forum in Seoul, South Korea. Go-Jek is regarded as one of the companies that raced in terms of innovation.
The award was given by the founder of the World Knowledge Forum, Chang Dar-whan, during the 17th World Knowledge Forum in Seoul, Wednesday (12/10/2016).
Besides Nadiem, the other award recipients are women entrepreneurs from Vietnam, Nguyuen Thi Nga. Nadiem and Nguyuen are two of the first to receive the award from the World Knowloedge Forum.
“I do not think all will happen. Life must believe in luck, good luck. Luck is my friend,” said Nadiem in his speech.
Nadiem suit and dark pants, said, in business need not worry about the rules. Although there are no rules, business must go on.
“It will appear that will follow the rules of innovation,” he said.
The emergence of Go-Jek is controversial. Starting from a feud with a motorcycle taxi to the base of the new rules in the field of transportation. However, the motorcycle is a rapidly growing online-based and targeted to various fields.
“I am pleased to award this. On behalf of 200 thousand motorists Go-Jek who greet customers every day, I thank you,” said Nadiem.
