South Korea’s exports to China have dwindled for a 13th consecutive month in July.
The Korea International Trade Association(KITA) said on Wednesday that South Korea’s exports to China last month amounted to ten-billion-129-point-57 million U.S. dollars, down nine-point-four percent on year.
It marks the 13th month in a row that South Korea witnessed a fall in shipments to its largest trade partner, which accounts for a quarter of the country’s total exports, since a six-point-five percent contraction in July of 2015.
South Korea’s main export items to China, including semiconductors, flat panel displays, and sensors, have continued to struggle. Outbound shipments of semiconductors fell by 14-point-three percent from July last year. The exports of flat panel displays and sensors have also declined by 19-point-four percent.
