Report: Car lovers are being lured to this year’s Busan International Motor Show.

A total of 25 brands from home and abroad are showcasing some 230 cars at the biennial event, making this year’s auto show in the port city the largest by far, with as many as 46 vehicles debuting to consumers.

Organizers say the auto show pavilions have grown 14 percent bigger in size than in 2014 and four new brands—Genesis, Bentley, Yamaha and Man Truck & Bus Korea—have newly joined the lineup.

International automakers like Volkswagen, Audi, BMW-Mini and Ford-Lincoln have taken up a larger presence than domestic carmakers, marking another first for the auto gala.

A common theme this year is the promotion of environment-friendly cars, which have emerged as the buzz in light of the lingering impact of Volkswagen’s emissions-rigging scandal. That’s why some brands are pinning high hopes on hybrid and electric cars.

Another key highlight is the unveiling of Hyundai’s G80, the next-generation model of the luxury sedan lineup.
