The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said Wednesday that 141 agricultural food producers or sellers from South Korea will participate in China’s largest food exhibition that kicks off in Shanghai on Thursday.

According to the ministry, during the 2016 SIAL CHINA, the companies will showcase fresh foods, noodles, snacks and health foods.

Pavilions will also be opened at the exhibition, in which kimchi, rice and samgyetang, a Korean ginseng chicken soup will be promoted. Kimchi and rice recently began to be exported to China with samgyetang set to go on sale in the country by next month,

The three-day exhibition, now in its 17th year, will bring together around two-thousand-900 companies from 85 countries and 60-thousand buyers from 90 nations.
