According to government tallies revealed on Tuesday, April consumer prices rose one percent, compared to the same period last year.

Rises in farm, dairy and fishery prices, home and service sector prices appear to be largely behind the price hike.

Persisting low oil prices contributed to an eleven-point-eight percent price fall in oil products.

Consumer prices fell to below one percent in January, but rose to one-point-three percent in February and one percent in March.
