GS Holdings Corp. posted the largest per-capita operating income among the country‘s large businesses on a second straight year in 2015, data showed Thursday.

The operating income per employee at the GS Group holding company averaged 5.56 billion won ($4.82 million) last year, the highest among 274 subsidiaries of the nation‘s top 30 business groups, according to data by financial information provider FnGuide.

The figure, however, was down from the per-capita operating income of 8.45 billion won the previous year.

Last year, GS Holdings‘ operating profit reached 144.4 billion won. It was followed by Hite Jinro Holdings Co. with 5.11 billion won and LG Corp. with 3.53 billion won.

The data also showed resources developer POSCO Daewoo Corp., formerly Daewoo International Corp., flagged the biggest per-capita revenue of 16.45 billion won last year. Sales of POSCO Daewoo with a workforce of 1,026 stood at 16.88 trillion won.

In contrast, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. registered the largest per-capita operating loss of 230 million won in 2015.
