The ASEAN-Korea Centre will present the food and culinary culture of the region at Coex in Seoul on Nov. 18-21.

The “2015 ASEAN Fair: Touch & Taste ASEAN,” has been organized with “Food Week Korea 2015.”

It will feature 100 companies, 70 delegations and performers from 10 ASEAN member states. A wide range of products, including packaged and processed foods and beverages will be promoted. Business-matching meetings also will be arranged between exhibitors and Korean buyers, organizers said.

“We can assure that the 2015 ASEAN Fair will play an important role in promoting economic cooperation between ASEAN and Korea by raising the awareness and understanding of the Korean public of the culinary culture of ASEAN,” ASEAN-Korea Centre Secretary General Kim Young-sun said.

“With the aim to further enhance the impact of this year’s fair, the centre is also inviting performers to showcase the uniqueness of ASEAN culture.”

Apart from the product exhibition and business meetings, there will be tourism promotion booths to provide more information about the region’s destinations, and promotional events that showcase various beverages from the member states with barista demonstrations and coffee tasting. Through the event, the ASEAN-Korea Centre aims to promote ASEAN as a single tourism destination.

The performers will present traditional contemporary cultural shows representing the ASEAN member states.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre is an intergovernmental organization established in 2009 with an aim to promote exchanges among Korea and the ten ASEAN Member States.
