South Koreans consumed the largest amount of instant ramen noodles per person in the world last year.

According to data by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, a South Korean consumes 76 packages of instant noodles on average a year.

South Koreans ate 13-point-three kilograms of noodles per person last year, with instant noodles or ramen accounting for 69 percent.

The country’s ramen consumption was much larger than that of other big ramen consumers in Asia. Vietnam and Indonesia ranked second and third, with their citizens eating 55 and 53 packages on average, respectively.
